19.5 Change Log and Other Tools

The remaining tools in the main window's cog menu: who changed what, the log file, version information and project settings.

Change Log

Cog menu → Tools → Change log shows the last 1000 changes in the project, newest first: Date and time, Change type (New, Modified, Deleted), Application/Host, User name and Changed object.

For a single object, the main window's PROPERTIES panel shows Last changed and By. Datashop keeps no earlier versions of objects – changes can't be rolled back from here.

Version and Log File

Cog menu → Info → About Datashop... – also from a workbook's File menu, or by clicking the version number in its status bar – shows:

  • the version (build number) – tell support this number;
  • the project file;
  • View log – opens Datashop's log file in your browser. The log is at %APPDATA%\Acinta\ and is useful for support when something goes wrong.

Info → Project properties shows the project's name and source.

Project Options

Cog menu → Tools → Project options... opens the project's settings, e.g. the AI service and data display. These settings are normally managed by the administrator – see 26.2 Project Options.

Audit Log Settings

Tools → Audit log settings... decides whether usage is logged – sessions, report executions, failed and slow visuals, distributions – where the log is stored and for how long. Only administrators can open it – see 32.3 The Audit Log.

Calculator

The calculator button in a workbook's status bar – or Ctrl+Alt+C – opens a calculator with the sum of the selected cells. Drag it away from the button to open several. See 5.7 Formula Bar, Status Bar and Calculator.

For Acinta Support

Take memory snapshot records Datashop's memory use in the project database. Use it only when Acinta support asks you to.
