2.9 Right-Click Commands¶
Besides typing in the nikolAI panel, you can start nikolAI from the right-click menu: Ask nikolAI on a visual or a sheet tab. These commands are available in Datashop Expert.
The Commands¶

| Build visual | Right-click a sheet tab → Ask nikolAI | The panel opens, ready for you to describe a new visual, e.g. revenue per month as a line chart |
For Modify visual and Build visual, what you type decides what nikolAI does – you can ask anything in the panel.
Results and Undo¶
- Changes made by nikolAI appear in the workbook right away and can be undone with Undo (Ctrl+Z) – they're listed as Modify visual (AI): … or New AI visual.
- Check that a new visual really appeared – in some cases nikolAI reports success even if building failed.
- Texts and pictures can't be modified by nikolAI.
Suggestion Chips¶
nikolAI offers follow-up suggestions as chips below its answers. How a click works depends on Execute suggestions immediately (in the panel, or Execute AI suggestions immediately in your user settings, Options tab):
