nikolAI is a powerful assistant, but it has boundaries. Understanding these limitations helps you use it effectively and safely.
Core Limitations¶
AI Can Make Mistakes¶
nikolAI is artificial intelligence, not perfect intelligence. Answers may be incorrect, visuals might be misconfigured, and calculations could contain errors. Always verify critical work - especially business decisions, financial calculations, and anything you'll share with others. Your domain knowledge and judgment are essential.

System Boundaries¶
nikolAI works within your environment's existing constraints:
Permissions: Respects your user access level. Cannot view restricted data, modify unauthorized objects, or change security settings.
Data Model: Uses existing dimensions and metrics but cannot modify the model structure, add dimensions, change data sources, or restructure schemas.
Application Scope: Works only within Datashop. Cannot access external systems, send emails, modify files outside the application, or interact with other software.
Development Status¶
nikolAI is under active development. Some features may not work as expected, capabilities are being added over time, and complex requests may need breaking into simpler steps. Check for software updates regularly to access improvements.
When to Work Manually¶
nikolAI isn't always the best tool: - Very simple tasks - Clicking a button may be faster - Exact specifications - Manual design gives pixel-perfect control - Learning mode - Doing it manually helps you understand the application - Highly complex configurations - May require manual fine-tuning
Your Responsibility¶
Acinta provides nikolAI as a productivity assistant without warranty. You're responsible for:
- Verifying and validating all output
- Checking that results meet your requirements
- Using appropriate judgment in applying AI-generated work
- Reviewing work before sharing with others
Remember: nikolAI is a tool to assist you. You remain the expert in your business and data.

- Verify before trusting - Check important work, especially calculations and configurations
- Start simple - Test nikolAI on non-critical tasks first
- Know when to go manual - Some tasks are just easier without AI
- Report issues - If nikolAI consistently fails at something, contact Acinta support
Common Issues – Limitations¶
Problem: "nikolAI gave me wrong information" - Solution: AI can make mistakes. Verify important information through documentation or testing. Report persistent errors to Acinta.
Problem: "nikolAI says it can't do something I need" - Solution: Check if it's a permission issue, a data model limitation, or truly outside nikolAI's capabilities. Contact your administrator or Acinta for guidance.
